Faux Painting

A fresh coat of paint is often the easiest and least expensive way to update a room. After painting, however, walls can appear flat and uninteresting. They lack texture and depth. A color-on- color technique creates depth and adds a subtle sheen to a painted wall.

A color-on-color effect can be created in various ways, each producing a different look. These techniques require two wall paints — satin and semi-gloss finishes — in the same color.

Create an Old World Atmosphere, express yourself with PAINT!

Make your old laminate counter top look like marble, granite, or stone, just by using  paint and some faux finish techniques.

Looking for a new floor finish? Try painting spotted stone effects on floors similar to a terrazzo finish.

Pretty House Company prices every project individually, and we base our price on such factors as: wall/surface type, obstacles (windows, doors, etc.), height of the wall, ceiling work, cost of supplies, travel distance, detail of work, difficulty of finish(es), and time in which we estimate the project to be completed, to name a few.

For the above mentioned variables, it is impossible for us to give an estimate, even a ballpark one, over the phone without having seen the space.

We offer pricing for virtually all budgets, and will work with you personally to find a design and price that is right for you. Decorative painting can cost anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Call or contact Karen for more information.

When contacting Pretty House Company please be as specific as possible when describing your needs. This enables us to better prepare for our meeting.

During the initial phone interview, an in home/business consultation will be scheduled at your convenience. We offer both day and evening consults and do our best to work around your schedule.

At the initial consultation we will discuss in detail your wishes, view the space to be painted, and discuss sample specifications. Included is a color consultation. You will also have an opportunity to view our portfolio of works and samples.

From there we will prepare a proposal. Upon acceptance of the proposal you will then sign a contract w/ 50% down plus supplies. We then schedule a start date to begin your project.

We will produce a sample board for the Faux Project.
